How to play Back In Black by AC/DC on guitar
In this electric guitar lesson / guitar tutorial we teach you how to play Back In Black by AC/DC on guitar. This is a classic rock song, that is a “must know” song for playing rock guitar. The song is fairly simple, in that it only uses a few chords (mostly Power Chords), but there are a few techniques that might be a little trickier if you are a beginner (power chords, muting, hammer-ons etc)
Here is a link to our lesson on how to play Power Chords
“Back in Black” is a classic song by AC/DC, from their 1980 album of the same name. The song is instantly recognizable by it’s opening guitar riff, played by lead guitarist Angus Young. Like many AC/DC songs, Back in Black uses simple, but strong sounding power chords with a catchy rhythm. The song peaked in the U.S. at No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1981 and reached 2× Platinum status in 2007. In 2009, it was named the second greatest hard rock song of all time by VH1.
It will sound best on electric guitar with some distortion, but you could also play this song on an acoustic guitar using the same chords/ notes. If you’re ready to start rocking, grab your guitar, and watch the video lesson below-
