Les Paul’s 100th Birthday

Today, June 9th would have been Les Paul’s 100th birthday, but sadly he passed away in 2009. Few people have impacted modern music as dramatically as Les Paul. Not only did he invent the solid body electric guitar, he also invented revolutionary recording equipment such as the multi track recorder. Some even credit him with inventing Rock and Roll itself!

An all star celebration concert will be held tonight at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, NY which will feature artists such as Neal Schon of Journey, Warren Haynes, Steve Miller, Joan Jett, Joe Bonamassa and Joe Satriani.
